NEW STUDY: EASI ZERo partners investigate how digital simulation can help with more efficient energy renovation

In this recent study, EASI ZERo partners compare digital simulations using the tools IDA ICE and EnergyPlus, against 16 days of laboratory measurements in a physical test cell, to assess the thermal performance of the novel and sustainable EASI ZERo building materials.

Both tools showed good agreement with measurements, with EnergyPlus performing slightly better overall, while IDA ICE gave marginally better predictions for the test wall surface temperature.

These findings help improve the reliability of building energy simulations. This is an important step toward better renovation design and lower CO₂ emissions.
